Designing what's next.

1983 - 2016

Archimage began as Houston’s first fully automated architecture practice in 1983. Dovetailing with the computers-in-architecture revolution of the 1990s, the firm expanded into software development, computer graphics and animation, film, web design, and interactive media.

More than a hundred uniquely talented professionals — architects, designers, application programmers, computer artists, filmmakers, and creative writers — built a body of work expressive of the age's new tools. Commisions included buildings and interiors, brand and print graphics, video games, multimedia titles, short and feature-length films, and television commercials.

The culmination of these efforts led to ground-breaking research in media-based behavior-change technology.

Recipient of more than forty design awards, Archimage appeared in U.S. News & World Report, The Financial Times, Washington Post, USA Today, Boston Globe, ID magazine, Architecture magazine, Progressive Architecture magazine, Architectural Record magazine, and broadcasts on CBS, ABC and National Public Radio.

Clients included Baylor College of Medicine, Compaq Computer Corporation, IBM, Knowledge Adventure, Nintendo, Northwestern University, the National Cancer Institute, the Texas State Education Agency, The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, The Walt Disney Company, Time Warner Communications, and Ziff-Davis Communications.
